GeoProgressions Paper 2: Inventory and Prospect: Research Capacity of the Geography Education Network in the U.S.

The recently published Road Map Project includes rigorous recommendations for expanded research activity in geography education. While appropriate, they immediately raise the question, “Who is capable of responding to this new emphasis on research?” This paper aims to inform the wider community about the curriculum, academic programs, personnel, and current research capacity in geography education.
